Day 6 Glasbury to Llanidloes

 74km, 900m climb

As Alastair commented Wales is "lumpy bumpy".

Here's today's profile.

It was vicious. Welsh gradients are unlike anywhere else! Maybe we're getting a bit old for this sort of effort. We met two men around Ben's age who were doing stages of about half the distance of ours on e bikes, with much less luggage as they weren't camping. Maybe we're too ambitious!

To compensate for the effort required, the route was absolutely beautiful.

We've crossed the watershed from the Wye to the Severn. They rise very close to each other near here.

We're at the very nice Dol Llys farm campsite at Llandiloes.

  1. That looked seriously lumpy. Well done. Hope you get some easier days too. Scenery and weather look lovely :-)
